Wines are living beings, they are full of character, dry or fruity. They have depth and they develop - during storage in our wine cellar as well as in the glass when we taste them in the Vinariat or in one of our restaurants. Our brilliant wine expert, Certified Sommelier Karl Rotheneder, would be happy to tell you more about his and our passion for wine.
Our Maître Sommelier Karl Rotheneder, who was chosen to be Austria's Sommelier of the Year 2007, looks after the hotel’s wine collection. He always returns from his regular wine trips with the finest wines.
Over 300 wines are stored in our wine cellar, including many Austrian specialities, but also international ones.
In our Kaiserhof Weinbuch (book of wines), which is what we call our wine list, all the wines are exquisite. However, some of the wines and sparkling wines are only available from us at the Kaiserhof. We are proud of our own private label bottling for the following editions:

He is not just a wine expert, but also a passionate storyteller so that his tastings always turn into entertaining and convivial afternoons. Participants can listen to thrilling anecdotes and gain informative insights into the world of wine.
A tasting session, including delicacies is subject to a charge
The Latin word vinariat means vineyard. In our wine club, we bring renowned winemakers to the Kaiserhof. At the monthly meetings, they present their excellent wines to the club members.
Every wine club member has the opportunity to create their own red wine cuvée. At tastings, these are then evaluated and awarded prizes. The winner finds its place in our Kaiserhof wine edition.
They rest and wait for the big moment - our wines are stored in the specially made racks. In the middle of the room, a long oak table invites you to taste. We would likewise be pleased to make this wine-friendly ambience available for celebrations - with a menu from our award-winning cuisine and excellent wines.
